Berries Keep Growing

Our green berries seem to be swelling!  In a very similar manner to the initial flower blooms, the number of strawberries growing in our AeroGarden has rapidly increased.  Check out some photos from today: 

Another Green Strawberry Emerges from our Rainforest Environment

We’ve got another strawberry just starting out in a separate seed pod.  I did not notice this one yesterday, so the nutrients must have helped!

Examination of Strawberry Root Structures at Four Weeks

Since the growing surface was out of the bowl during the water exchange and feeding, I took more root system photos of our aeroponic strawberries.  You can compare the photos with our examination at week two to see how the roots have expanded over the last two weeks.   

Feedin’ Time!

Just like last time, the water was still quite clean in appearance and the plants are looking great!  I wonder if the added nutrients will speed up the growth of the new strawberry…
